Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biology

Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biology is a program created by the ongoing merger of two academic departments at the University of Arizona. Molecular and Cellular Biology is a department in the College of Science centered in the Life Sciences South Building while Cell Biology and Anatomy is a department in the College of Medicine centered in the Life Sciences North and Medical Research Buildings. When completed in the summer of 2008, the merged department will remain in both the College of Science and in the College of Medicine. The merged department will be primary home to more than 40 faculty members and will provide a rich environment for research and training focused around Cell Biology. Our graduate program is being reorganized with the resources of both former departments to provide more opportunities for coursework and a greater diversity of research directions.
